Every chart in this portal cites the exact ACS variable, source dataset, and known limitations. This is the source of truth.
General principles
- Federal data (Census ACS, BLS, FRED, BEA) is fetched live and rendered for every U.S. state.
- Community-collected data (narratives, surveys, predictions) is currently only available for Minnesota; other states show an honest empty state.
- Predictive models were trained on Minnesota data and should not be transferred to other states without local calibration.
- All small-cell counts are suppressed to protect privacy (n < 11).
- Every chart includes a source citation; click “Cite this” to generate an APA reference.
